I love it when....

... her world's collide. It was always obvious that music and dance would intertwine, but today it really did.... today she got to play the beautiful Steinway at dance class. There's always been a very dusty, covered in junk, grand piano in the corner of class. Today I was asked to clear the crap. And found under it the utter work of art that is a Steinway New York concert grand. Ohh my life do the lower notes sound so stunningly rich and beautiful. Unfortunately wood worm has truly attacked the legs and it may not be much longer for this world, but its beautiful. Katie's face when I took her into the main studio from upstairs and she spotted the piano open and available was just magical.

We spent the day at dance class. I had a lot of work to do fitting costumes and working to come up with some fixes to some problematic ready-made costumes. Katie had class and then spent the afternoon having a wonderful time dancing for fun and making up shows in one of the empty studio. I think in total she wore 6 different leotards today.

We were planning to go home for a bit of music time, have tea and then go out to youth group. But we were late leaving class so were dropped straight off. She had fun but we left a little early as she was beginning to droop. Chip shop called on the way home before she fell asleep with three monkeys in her arm.

PS.... the extra is the original blip for today but I changed it for the piano.... a phone pic instead of a "real" camera pic, but the Steinway deserves a blip. The fun she had with her toys was great too though.
