Sanderling at Cape Henlopen

Shortly after breakfast today, the skies brightened and the sun actually came out for a short bit.  So we drove to Cape Henlopen State Park and and hiked about two miles.

The shorebirds must be on vacation because there was not much to see.  Fortunately there were a bunch of Sanderlings that saved the day.  Most were half buried in water so shots of them weren't ideal.  However, this little guy decided to come out for a brief photo shoot and saved the day.

We also saw a cool "blue" bird that might be a Blue Grosbeak but am not entirely sure.  See today's extras for a shot of it.
