Vienne on the Rhône, France

It was well worth the steep climb to the belvedere for this view of Vienne, the river Rhône, and the mountains beyond. This morning's weather was better than forecast, with just one shower. Poured steadily for the rest of the day, though, and it's ridiculously cold for May. Could have posted dozens of blips today, but I've tried to limit myself! The town is a wonderful mix of fabulous Roman remains, medieval areas and modern buildings. My extras show a modern metal sculpture of a grazing cow, alongside a live stray dog that clearly couldn't read the sign saying Dogs Not Allowed. They are right next to an ancient Roman temple to Jupiter, which you can see in the other extra.
