Pendle Panorama

Whenever I’m in the UK , especially the north, and the weather is half-way decent, I am so impressed by the beauty of the countryside.
This is a panorama picture taken on the way up to Pendle from the parking at the Nick of Pendle. The day was fantastic with sunshine and a warm wind blowing from the hill.  Sitting down for a bite to eat there was no need to add a jumper. I’m not sure if it’s late spring or early summer!
Looking outwards from here there are superb  views of the surrounding hills, the valleys, and various towns and villages down in those valleys.  The landscape contains so many greens and so much variation, compared to our more usual Scandinavian forest.
I was surprised that we saw only 6 other  people on and around this easy walk, on such a lovely day.  OK, it was a working day but even so…
Our time up here has been a little hectic. We've been fixing up our house, visiting Joan in hospital, and preparing for a wedding. There's barely been time to Blip and commenting has been very sporadic, for which I apologise.Yesterday's Blip was also published a few minutes ago.
