National Trust Blicking

Dear friend B and I spent a few happy hours at this fabulous house and gardens.  It is believed to be where Anne Boleyn was born and  it is said that every year on the anniversary, Anne Boleyn's headless ghost arrives at Blickling in a carriage driven by an equally headless coachman.  But she hasn't lost her head completely in the afterlife...she carries it along with her during her hauntings!
The extras show the impressive library, which had comfy sofas to sit on to soak up the atmosphere and the temple surrounded by stunning rhododendrons. The NT shop sells the most gorgeous damson ice cream...worth visting for that alone!
This was following a morning visit to see an exhibition of images of Paris by Henri Cartier-Bresson at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts in Norwich...a full day!
