Alnwick Castle - 20th May Backblip

Packed and left the cottage before 10 a.m.  Headed for Alnwick to have a quick look around before meeting up with friends in Blyth for lunch.  Loved Alnwick and hopefully will return some day soon.

After lunch at a lovely Italian restaurant in Whitley Bay we headed down the A19 and cut across to stay in Harrogate.  Betty's for dinner with a glass of Swiss wine, which we've never come across before.  It was rather good.  A gentle stroll around the town where our son was born and where many, many years ago I used to get my school uniform, although the store has long since disappeared, as has my school.
