Sixty Years Ago Today ....

.... my Mum wore this dress.  It would have been my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary.  Her mother made the dress, every detail, including the finish on the buckle and the buttons.  

They had fifty eight and a half years together.  We are thankful we grew up in a loving family, and that they lived to enjoy their children's children. Nothing delighted Mum more than having all of her family together in the one place.  It would have been so this coming weekend had they still been with us. 

Remembering them today, and thankful for their lives and Godly example.  Much loved and greatly missed.
