Flower Friday - Animals

I didn 't think Poppy or Pippy (our calves) would appreciate a flower behind their ears and there isn't any other live options.

Went to the cupboard looking for inspiration and found this wooden bowl, with a painted giraffe eating a tree.  We bought it in Zimbabwe a few years back and to be honest I've hardly used it - you know what its like buying things on the spur of the moment when on holiday.  Now that I've found it again, I'll bring it to the front and give it an airing from time to time.

A few geum flowers and some leaves to keep him well fed for a while.  Bit of a shock while walking about the garden this afternoon, everything has got the big time droops after a frost of some note this morning.  Smashing sunny day followed.

Our craft group met this morning, a good old chin wag was had.  One of our group had a birthday, excuse for candles on yummy cake and some singing.

Tomorrow two car loads from our photography club are scheduled to go to Tekapo to join someone who is giving tuition on photographing the night sky, meeting at 5.30 pm.  Unfortunately, the weather forecast is for lots of rain, I'm thinking it will be postponed.....they will reschedule it.  Watch this space - my blip will either be a beautiful starry sky with the Church of the Good Shepherd in the foreground or another wet flower from the garden.....I'm thinking the latter.

This afternoon we have been pottering in the paddock, sorting out fencing equipment and having a general tidy up.  Lots to go to the scrapmetal dealer and lot to the dump......anyone want an old three furrow plow, grubber, topper and a Fergie tractor that doesn't go??

Have a super and safe weekend.

Rainie
