The Party's Over

First things first: a very big thank you for popping in to look at my red balloon day's journal yesterday. It was like hosting a big party  for friends without the catering, and happily receive gifts from those present. Thank you all so much- it is so good to know we are all still present and correct.

On the day after, blip 2501, life continues as before in the Dower House, the mist continues to cast a sodden shroud over everything and the rain continues to fall.

It all so depressing, although there is the excitement of seeing this alien thing round the corner of the house at 8am. It appears by remote control and after touching down, it legs unfurl and alien beings rise up in a basket to wash windows. Just as quickly as it comes it disappears, leaving no evidence of its having been here save for four indentations in the grass.

Also of note today is that our lone wild rabbit of last year who appeared as a little baby and hopped about on its own all summer has now acquired a partner and 4 babies. Parthenogenesis is not something available to rabbits, so perhaps the mate of our 2015 rabbit has been appeared out of a hat.  Applying the Fibonacci Sequence to their breeding habits we will be over run by bunnies this time next year.
