Flower Friday - Bedraggled Cornflower

BikerBear, who does a fab job hosting Flower Friday (thanks to her yet again!) has suggested "Animal" as the twist to Flower Friday this week.

Well, we came back from holiday to find that the best flowers for a photo in our garden at the moment are the cornflowers. I rather like this one as it looks as if it's having a bit of a bad hair day, having been battered by the recent rain. In fact it looks a bit like I feel after I've been out in a rainstorm.

This may be stretching the topic a bit far, but cornflowers attract lots of little birds to the garden, and birds are animals, aren't they?
