Lift Off.

This is what it looks like when the elevator doors open but the lift is still on the floor below. Just as I was leaving the office I was fascinated by the sight of the top of the lift and the mechanic was kind enough to allow me to capture it. He was even keen to answer all my questions about how it all works. He agreed with me that whilst he might take this sight for granted, for the rest of us it is fascinating to see the inner workings of the elevator and even a little spooky to see the doors open but no lift car there!!!
