Sgwarnog: In the Field

Mown

The day it felt that summer had arrived.

The hay was being mown (extras), damselflies and various bugs were abundant, including a green weevil that alighted on my wrist (extras).

The year's butterfly inventory was augmented by my first Small Copper, with Speckled Wood, Small and Large White, Orange-tip, Peacock and Small Tortoiseshell also about.

Moths disturbed from the herbage included Silver Ground Carpet, Brown Silver-line and various micros I've yet to identify.

And the cygnets were escorted to my side of the dam, where I was able to capture their fluffiness a little better that Wednesday's effort (extras).
