A Walk in the Park...

…Blake style.

Blake's walk includes "jump up" and "jump over", so he jumped up on every bench, sat on it laid down on it and jumped off. He jumped over this well used stop on the par course which, unlike many that were installed in a lot of places in the 80's is still well used…perhaps not in precisely the way it was designed to be used….

The next couple of weeks are going to be quite busy, in ways that June often is. Will graduates from high school on Friday and Dana and I are collaborating on a quilt for his dorm bed made from old team t-shirts and  jerseys which he has kept since he started Little League. Dana brought over a huge bag of them this morning. I think it was just a good excuse to clean out Will's closet….

The weather has been perfect for this holiday weekend. We had friends for dinner and ate outside last night, although the mosquitoes eventually forced us inside . My shopping list  now includes:
1..mosquito repellant
2. mosquito coils…which is the lesser of two evils, mosquitoes or smoky coils  under the table?
3. fabric medium to add to house paint for painting the porch furniture…Dana's been spending too much time on Pinterest. It's worth a try since white fabric cushions which can't be removed are not very practical for outdoor furniture.

Undoubtedly by the time I finish my outdoor sprucing up the "June gloom" fog will descend and our guests will be forced to sit shivering outside….
