Land and Seascape

The land and seacape as seen from Cuween chambered tomb also known as the tomb of the dogs as the bones of 24 small dogs were found in the main chamber. Later we went fo a leisurely walk to Ophir and learned a little about the Viking era, rather a brutish drunken bunch by the sounds of it!
Stromness for the afternoon and the annual folk festival, I love this town, it's long winding main street and houses with there own slipway running down to the sea. Always the possibility too of catching a ferry to an island or two! We had a ticket to see the Unthanks and Julie Fowlis, what a night which also included a late night session at the singers club.
