The Last of the Zinnias

The recent heavy rain has adversely affected the zinnias in our garden. They are well past their best. However this pink one perked up as a shaft of late afternoon sun touched its petals. I have really enjoyed the zinnias this past season and will certainly be growing lots more in the future.
I bottled another batch of Feijoa Chutney this morning... It is a powerful brew!
Our lovely neighbour, Liz M and her boys have finally moved out of their house. Liz's parents and other family members came up from down south to help with the move. It was a mission and took me back to February last year when we made our move across town to this location. We will miss Liz and the boys and their dogs. I just hope whoever buys the property are such compatible folk!
