Thoughts of a Mummy

The Crazy Side.....

We had a family visit to Auntie Christine's today and (in the words of her husband), her own "bubble of craziness".

Our day started with a family feast at the local harvester. It quickly became apparent that we should have warned them that we were coming today, as they ran out of a few items while we were there. A great gathering of family, chatting over breakfast and catching up.

We then made our journey to Auntie C's. I drove the party bus with all of the girls in, while Dad drove the wind up car with Calv, Dude and Sheila.

We arrived to be greeted by my Auntie & Uncle and what looked to be the toy aisle from a supermarket. The girls were in seventh heaven with all of the different games, bubbles and activities.

Auntie C had gathered together everything needed for some very fun games. We had Limbo, bubbles and hula hoops - now these were the sensible games. Then came the active games....

* Space hopper racing with a Velcro ball catching game
* Cotton Wool Ball challenge - grease up your nose with Vaseline, pick up a cotton wall ball with your nose, race to the other side of the garden and then drop the cotton wool ball into another dish - do this 10 times
* Skittles with tights and a tennis ball - yep, knock over 8 bottles of water with a tennis ball that has been put in the foot of a pair of tights. The tights of course have to be attached to your head and you can't use your hands to swing or aim!
* After eight challenge - put an after eight on your forehead and get it in your mouth without using your fingers or hands. Lots of face wiggles!
* Shower cap wotsit shaving - put a load of shaving foam on a shower cap then see how many wotsits someone (or in our case, 3 children) can get on the shaving foam in 30 seconds.
* Smarties race - using a straw get one bowl of smarties across to another bowl the other side of the garden, picking the Smarties up one at a time.

Oh my word, it was absolutely crazy and so much fun!

On the way home, the girls giggled about the funny things they had done this afternoon. It's days like today that memories are made of.
