Tiny Tuesday Celebration

My blip buddy, WRPerry and I celebrated the beginning of the 2nd year of Tiny Tuesday with a blipmeet at Hughes Hollow.  Of the many locations we have visited, this one always provides an abundance of insects and potential macro shots. It was a really miserably hot day and after about 3 hours, we were defeated by the heat but not before we got many shots of birds, bugs, bees and dragon flies.

Many, many thanks to WWombat for her brilliant idea of May Macro Mayhem last year.  It introduced the macro world to so many blippers who subsequently became fascinated by it and have enthusiastically joined in the weekly challenge.  I love looking at the hidden world that is revealed through the macro lens and I look forward to being inspired and amazed by the images this challenge will continue to produce in the weeks to come.  Nice work, everyone… and congratulations!
