Tarn Hows...

Have you ever GeoCached?

I've always liked the idea of it. The thought of finding things left specificially to be found and only known to a select percentage of the populace.

I took a wee look at the GeoCaching website and found that there was one just up the road from where we were staying. I loaded up my phone with a GeoCaching App and headed up the hill.

What did I find? Well I found the cache... but it was just the log, a crossword folded into a bird and a mouldy dog biscuit. Nothing impressive but the searching for it and finding something only a number of people realize is there whilst most people will pass it unknowingly, is rather intriguing.

Notes on the Picture...
We took a wee trip up to Tarn Hows which is a moderately small lake about 10 minute drive from here. It gave the kids a chance to try out their nets they bought with their holiday money. The kids did not too bad on the walk round but we got a bit of a strop from Ewan about half way round. That switch flicked in his head that just couldn't be turned off and there was no talking him out of of the temper. The only thing that managed to bring him back was the invention of the Poo Game. Which he won quite convincingly.
