Clockwork...

Today was probably a fairly busy day.

Have you ever Gone Ape? Go Ape is a company that set up aerial assault courses that are built in the tops of trees. We were lucky enough to be staying about 2 miles from the tallest treetop course in Britain. It is basically a course of trees linked by rope ladders, tight ropes, tarzan swings and some huge zip wires. I took one of our friends kids up as iffy knees were involved. It was great fun. Very exhilarating walking across planks, 20 metres up(obviously very tethered to safety wires).

After that we took a wee short walk to see some of the scuptures and artworks in the Grizdale forest. This is part of a work called the Clockwork Forest. These keys can be wound and once wound, they start a wee musical box tune which sometimes comes from places you don't expect. It wasn't hugely busy but I'd love to see this when there was nobody about.

Next we had took MrsTFP over to see Beatrix Potter's house whilst we went to see if Windemere was more fruitful for fish than Tarn Hows.

Lastly, I got to take a nice wee saunter across the back of the hills from Grizdale back to the cottage.

A throughly enjoyable final full day.

Notes on the Gaps...
Not the photo gaps, the gum gaps. It was bound to happen and it did. Bethany's other tooth came out as well so she's got a lovely big gap along her bottom gum now and a shiney £2 coin for her trouble.
