Fatinha Sings Fado

Funny how Monday was such a blah day, and today the total opposite. 

For one thing, we have a car again! Should probably be all cool about it, but actually - maybe it's the month without one - feel so grateful and excited - went for a short road trip - didn't drive it away till after 5pm, and we have a meeting in a bit.

Plus we had a great lunch with our landlords - barbecued meat, and salad from the garden, and bread - both Mike's and local - and melon, simple and delicious. Then we all went to the local café for coffee, where Fatinha started singing songs about Mora - fado style - she's really very good. But what amused/horrified me was the way the owner kept on looking at his phone as though this powerful, emotional sound wasn't filling his café...
