Kitchen Refit - Day 9

All of the cabinets are in and we can now get a feeling for the space we are going to have in the finished kitchen.  We are happy with our choices in how we have changed the position of the appliances and even had the opportunity to try out the new main and combi oven last night, if only to heat them up for the first time, as recommended in the manual.

The second day of the event safety course continued as yesterday, with fascinating information.  We discussed various tragedies in the past and it is quite apparent that what we hear through the news media is never all of the facts that pertain to these events.  Selective information is shared, often to support the media's position on the circumstances.  

In the afternoon we were asked to undertake table top exercises, having various scenarios thrown at us at short notice.  It gave me a healthy respect for the people who have to manage these events.
