New Kid on the Block

A young starling with one of its parents.

Down at Seafield beach again this afternoon and as the tide went out, the water draining off the beach was leaving dendritic etchings in the sand (see extras).

There were a few starlings scavenging for insects amongst the seaweed - some of them had young waiting on the nearby rocks.

For this blip, I have overlaid one with the birds in over one of the sand abstracts. (you can probably guess which one).
