Seaman's Weapon (Day 392)

The weather was looking a lot more promising this morning as I walked the dogs up the hill. The wind had eased a bit and the sky seemed to promise better weather was on the way.
Once home I chased the lawnmower round - the grass seems to be loving the weather at the moment and is growing ridiculously fast - then did some other jobs round the house.
We headed into town to have a look at the two naval vessels which were open to the public today. FDS Brandenburg and HMS Duncan have been involved in the Jutland commemoration. The German boat was less interesting than the British vessel, which just seemed to have a lot more to look at. As we wandered around, we were given some snippets of information about HMS Duncan by an enthusiastic crew. I think my beautiful wife enjoyed seeing all the seamen and getting to touch their weaponry. The maniacal grin when she grabbed the mini gun was a little worrying.
Back ashore we trundled to Tesco, then home and out to Orphir for a walk along the shore. I rescued a nice bit of stone which will do for a carving sometime.
It has been a grand day.
