Views above "the Clump"

No dawn shoot today so we were able to have a bit of a lie in which was very welcome.

After breakfast we headed to Abbazia Di Sant'Antimo, a beautiful Romanesque abbey which dates back to the 12th century situated just south of Montalcino.  Lying in the valley with views of the hill town of Castelnuovo dell'Abate above.

Back to our hotel and we had some free time before our evening shoot. Most of us headed to the restaurant next door for lunch.

Our evening shoot was at "The Clump" a well known circular group of cypress trees. We walked up the hill opposite for far reaching views over the Tuscan hills (quite a long, upward climb - we had to stop and admire the views (catch our breath) a few times!).  This shot was my last photo of the day, taken on our way back down the hill.  We turned round and spotted the light and lone tree on the hill.

Dinner in yet another fabulous restaurant in San Quirico d'Orcia. Great food and loads of fun and laughter.

Extras of Sant'Antimo abbey, hill town of Castelnuovo dell'Abate and "The Clump".
