Between fen and mountains

Damselfly

I spotted some of these and one obligingly rested for a moment to allow me to take a shot.  Now summer has returned the insect life seems to be taking off.  I spent the morning in the garden trying to get rid of most of the invasive Spanish bluebells and then spent the afternoon at Citizens Advice.  I have learnt that in my other volunteering role, making tea, toast and cup-a-soups, I need a Food Hygiene certificate.  It will cost the Salvation Army a lot of money to put everyone through the training.  I do think it is going a bit over the top.
