Hair of the dog?

A lovely surprise when I got in to work. The esteemed colleagues had purchased  a delicious (as I later discovered) malt. I will be away to the Isle of May for my traditional birthday trip tomorrow, so got this a day early.
Sadly, various measurements and calculated indices on the canid skull indicate that it is a large dog. I was really hoping for a wolf :(
