In brief, owing to 3G only being available intermittently half-way up the stairs:

Train panic over having apparently selected to print our tickets at home (you can do that?)
No aircon (boo)
Crying baby (boo)
Baby moved to cooler carriage (yeah)
Cheap first class so free food and drink (yeah)
Dinner with senior Bs
Home - house still in one piece (yeah)
