Aga-aphobic

This is Mam and Dad's Aga. We don't get on. But we are coming to an accommodation. That is, I am reading the Aga book and accepting that potatoes can be boiled in an oven, and such like.

A day of shopping, preparing food for tomorrow, and chatting with visitors. Aunty June arrived (Dad's sister) and later Uncle Billy (Mam's brother) and his partner Lorna and 7 year old Ben. I hardly ever see Billy, so it was lovely to have the chance to catch up a bit and Ben, once he got over some initial shyness of the strange French speaking children in the garden, had a great time running wild in the woods with them.

Now I just have to get through the list of finishing touches tomorrow and hope that the cookie tray bake that has come out twice as thick as normal is cooked all the way through.
