Marsh and Shingle

A lovely day again. Seems like we are being very lucky with the weather here in East Anglia, as other parts of the UK seem to be having quite unpleasant weather. We did a favourite walk, from Dunwich through woodland and across marshes to Walberswick for a pleasant lunch before the return walk along beach and shingle. I travelled a little lighter, taking only a smaller camera. There was some excitement on the marshes, as reports were coming in of a Red-footed Falcon - presumably one which had been seen a few miles further south. We didn't have a chance to "twitch" as it would have been a little too far to walk. We did get some nice sightings, including a Hen Harrier and a Marsh Harrier on the outward walk plus a good view of a fox, and on return walk, some sightings of assorted birds including Little Terns. On the last section, we encountered a few butterflies including this fresh (Common?) Blue which was flitting about through some Sea Campion.
