The River Marne

A good crossing.
Had a couple of stops on the way here, for coffee and sandwiches, and also to change drivers.
Filled the tank up after 100 miles. No problem
Then again when we arrived.
Haven't stayed here before, but what a lovely hotel. Hope the food is as good.
We have decided on the Menu de Printemps.
Four courses 33 euros.
It was the starter that decided it.
Asperges de Champagne en trilogie ( mousse line, feuillete, et veloute glace et mousse de comte.)

The village where we are staying is just off the motorway, but so quiet. ( Matougues)
Have had a walk down to the river Marne.
(Just saw 4 people, but they all said " Bonjour".)
Just beautiful. Poppies everywhere.
However the river is very high and some of the fields are flooded.
Loved this photo of the old bridge.

Now back to have a shower, and relax before our evening meal.
Temp. 26c very hot and sunny!
