Life through the lens...

By ValC

C'est la vie!

Arrived at Tournon sur Rhone at 5 pm.
Checked into our " Logis".
Beautiful balmy day. 27C.
Walked over the old pedestrian wooden bridge to Tain Hermitage on the other side of the Rhone. ( see extra )
Famous for the red wine of Northern Rhone.
We sat in the square, with the fountains playing, and looking up to the hillside covered in vines.
A glass of chilled rose from the vineyard of Paul Jaboulet Aine, turned into a bottle.
Well at 10 euros who could refuse!
Managed to walk back over the bridge to our hotel, in time for the evening meal.
After last night, we could only manage a main course.

Back in our room Mr C watching the opening game of Euro 2016.
I think I will be asleep before it finishes!

Many thanks for all your kind comments and stars for yesterday's Blip.

Tomorrow we will reach our destination, but first will visit the local market in Tounron, and purchase a bottle or two of the rose.
