The Roman Theatre

We had a lovely drive down the side of the mighty Rhone today. Not the busy auto route, but the D86 on the other side of the river.
Through lots of interesting  sleepy villages, and past orchards of cherries, apricots and peaches.Lots of stalls at the side of the road selling the produce.

First stop Roaix for a little  lunch of Salad Nicoise, followed by pizza, and mousse au chocolat  to finish.
Then to the supermarket for supplies, and arrived at the gite mid afternoon.
Lovely to be back once more in Vaison la Romaine. 
The weather is VERY hot, but we will get used to it!
Photo taken this evening as we had a walk, and look round the town.

Mr C has just brought me a glass of chilled rose.
