Cheeky Lambs

18.4C starting foggy then clearing. Light ESE breeze.

We made the trip North up the A83 through Tarbert and Lochgilphead to Kilmartin Glen.

On arrival we first had a visit to the cup and ring marked stones at Baluachraig.

Then we parked at the car park near the Nether Largie standing stones and cairn and had a walk with Maeve the Deerhound across past the stones to Temple Wood. The field where the stones are had sheep in it today and there were some cheeky lambs who were determined to have a look at Maeve as we walked across the field past the tallest standing stone. We carried on up the main path which runs along the line of the linear cemetery of cairns towards Kilmartin village. We went all the way up the path the Glebe cairn and had lunch sitting outside at the Kilmartin museum cafe before returning by the same route.

We started back South to Campbeltown before 4pm. As we passed Tayinloan and started to see Gigha out to the right of the shore it became misty again.
