The blue lagoon

A short hop up to Iceland for something rather different. We flew on a superbly purple plane and were picked up by a mobile moss bank (see extras). The weather doesn't look too spectacular, but this is almost the arctic. Gatwick was busy, but the little Keflavik airport was HEAVING. Flights now seem to come in from all over the world and the place was simply creaking at the seams. But once out of the airport things were rather less stressful.

A superb dinner at the nearby Northern Lights hotel and then a midnight dip at the blue lagoon. This shot is the new lagoon off to one side which just had a small group of Eider ducks in it that were busy commenting on how the water felt nice and 'warm', 'warm; 'warm', 'warm, 'warm' in their slightly surprised sounding voices.
