Loch Ossian

The Corrour end of Loch Ossian, showing the Youth Hostel, hiding in the stand of trees in the centre.

Today we have been dropped off at Corrour station (the country's most isolated station with no connecting road) and are taking the long walk back to our destination one stop down the line. On the way we take in the peaks of Sgor Gaibre (955m) and Carn Dearg (941m).

The extra is the view from the top back over Loch Ossian and Corrour, showing the north facing crags of Ben Nevis in the background.

But a splendid dinner awaits at the Rannoch Station hotel - an establishment I would very highly recommend.
