Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright

Not in a forest but underneath the shade of a huge old oak tree in a four acre wood.

He is a sculpture made of chicken wire and resides with his owner, a very creative 81year old sculptor who usually casts in bronze.

We visited her rural studio and gardens today as part of the South East Open Studios. Her works were exhibited outdoors overlooking a wonderful view of the Weald of Kent. She is a very talented artist and much of the proceeds of her sales goes to Medecin Sans Frontiers.

Afterwards we had a walk across the fields at Underriver, seeing lots of wildlife and farm animals including a sow with her big litter of tiny piglets.

. We ended the afternoon with a drink in the
Garden of the local pub - and down came the rain in torrents. British weather !
