Queenie's Birthday Again

Big celebrations today for the Lady's 90th. Blipped pics from the Tv while watching the 'Big Party ' in London's Pall Mall. Very colourful and traditional. Tickets were £150 with 10000 guests. Thats a lot of money but each guest got a hamper of food. The event was mainly subsidised by corporate sponsors, so the Queen didnt pay nor did us taxpayers. At least thats what i assume.

The monarchy last year cost taxpayers £35.7m
But they use their money well as they made record profits on their £9.4billion property portfolio. However, the queen is getting a pay
rise of 5% from us taxpayers. With inflation at 0.3% she is getting a lot more than the nurse's 1%

Back to the show - must say it looked a spectacular event and well done to all those that freely took part. The Brits sure know how to do it in style.
