Solace Day 6

The day started badly when we looked at the weather forecast and learned that we would have heavy rain, hail and thunder storms. Then things got really bad! The engine wouldn’t start. We read back through the diary to see what other people had tried as the starter motor and wiring were brand new. Finally, after trying all the obvious things, I rang another of the owners who has been very knowledgeable about the repair work.

He recommended hitting the starter motor with a light hammer while turning the key. Success! We were off! We knew exactly what to do when it failed again after lunch.

We also knew what to do when the promised heavy rain came. We moored at 3pm for the day and went inside!

Sorry, a dead crayfish for a blip today because I have only ever seen one live one and this dead one. Don't know if it's the dreaded Signal or not. I wonder which 1970's British Government was responsible for introducing the devastating creature?
