Mullien Moth Caterpillar

I was drawn to this plant on my walk around the lake at Trentham Gardens and not because of this caterpillar. I wanted to inspect it a bit closer as their were plenty of bees buzzing around it. It was then that I spotted the caterpillar.

I only managed to identify it when I got home, and it's not a popular one with gardeners!

I kept an eye on my house keys today. If I'd locked myself out, my other half would have had a longer drive back as he was up in Preston!
