Battlefield Tour...

The Battle of Overloon has gone down in history as the greatest tank battle on Dutch soil during World War II. Citizens had to flee, lost their family and possessions, and sometimes their limbs or even their lives. Many German soldiers no longer believed in victory, but did not dare to surrender for fear of reprisals by the Nazis in their family. The Americans were in Overloon first to incorporate a highly sensitive blow after their successful advance from Normandy. And the British ... they called the Battle of Overloon soon "Little Caen" and drew comparisons with the conditions of combat in trenches of the First World War. Tank Battle or not ... it was a horror for everyone...Norfolk Monument in the extra and a Psychiatric hospital it was completely bombed, and rebuilt again after World War II.
