The elegance of the garlic scape

I love the way the garlic scapes start to curl.  I've harvested quite a few of them.  They're so delicious raw when they're young and tender, or gently boiled then roasted with olive oil and a bit of salt and pepper when they're not quite so young. 
The extra:  Breakfast with Bambi.  The twins have been out early in the mornings, and I've been lucky to spot them.  I've yet to get a good photo of them together.  This was taken through the window.  The other one was farther away and blurred, so I had to crop it.  The mum was nowhere to be seen but I'm sure she was close by in the forest.  They are just too cute, and it's always a treat when they hang out here.
