Breakfast with Squizzers

We had to check out by 10am this morning and while packing up, this little squirrel came begging for breakfast.  I quickly obliged by putting some bran flakes out for him -  he was quite nervous and ran away if we moved quickly, but soon came back.

On the way home we went to a small town called Alfreton. Alan went to a radio rally there yesterday morning, and he noticed a shop that sold vintage and shabby chic goods.  There was a cabinet that he liked for the summerhouse, so we went to have a look and bought it.

The traffic was quite heavy and the M1 was closed between two junctions, so we went across country for a while to bypass the problem, and we didn't get held up. We were home at 3.30pm, unloaded the car and then went to pick up some wicker furniture that had been advertised locally for free!  There was a sofa, chair and table but we only needed the sofa so Elif has had the table and chair for her conservatory.  The cushions are a little stained but I've put them in the washer and if they're still marked, I'll get some throws, but the sofa itself is really well made and will be perfect in the summerhouse.

One thing that was nice to see when we got home was the sunshine - it's been sadly missing for the last few days!
