Baku

I needed an iconic shot for the first day in Baku and ended up getting three in one.  This coming Sunday, Baku will host a Formula I Grand Prix through its city streets.  Apparently it's the fastest street circuit on the Formula One circuit and my taxi driver was well into that spirit on the way in from the airport this morning (it was also hugely congested and rather like an obstacle getting across town today with many streets blocked for the race and having to walk the final two hundred meters to the hotel - including climbing across a temporary Pirelli Arch).

In the background to my shot, Baku's famous Flame Towers - the light displays make the buildings appear as moving flames - however, in the blip they are lit in the colours of third icon, Azerbaijan's flag.  Hence, inadvertently, 3 in 1.
