The ghosts of June 1944

Weymouth Harbour in 2014, with faded on to it a photo taken from the same exact spot as the ships and troops embarked for Operation Overlord - the invasion force bound for Normandy.

A friend sent me a link to this fascinating piece of software where several D-day pictures are displayed.   Click and drag fades from one picture to the other - in this case from 2014 to 1944.

To follow blip protocol, of course, I had to photograph the screen and take if from there.
