The mermaid has left the boat and now sits on the wall looking out to sea while the octopus, the seagulls and other sea creatures sit on a lobster pot beneath the gaze of the sea captain. Nearby two fishing boats trawl the waters full of fish under a sun with swooping seagulls above. (extra)
Unfortunately the sun did not shine but the rain and mist cleared for a while and real fishing boats from Port Seton could be seen in the distance and an occasional sea gull swooped down into the calm sea.

The craftsmanship of the yarn bombers is really remarkable in the depiction of the life that was familiar to the people of Fisherrow until recent times.   The detail if seen in a large format is amazing. (This is part of the events in Musselburgh which will celebrate the Riding of the Marches in July which takes place every 21 years although each year they do a ride out)
