Feeding a young woodpecker

Although the juvenile seemed to be feeding well on its own, the female was in attendance, and was providing it with food too. The light was very poor, so even with quite a high ISO, the shutter speed was not high enough to freeze the motion in this shot. The first extra shows what happened when a n adult male arrived - quite a violent incident! The second extra shows the female and juvenile in a less active pose.
