'Scotland's Weather'

Yes we have had weather today, like yesterday's but worse.  Definitely for indoor pursuits, like sewing a bit of the quilt that has already been a year in the making and still has a way to go. Or for browsing in the book shelves for half-forgotten treasures.

I think this anthology was a charity shop find. There's a lot in it about rain, snow, gales - sunshine and long, idyllic summer days, not so much, but we like to keep those a secret.

The picture is of an old postcard of the humorous sort - I like the ducks.

Last word to Sir Walter Scott: 'We .. are children of the mist and must not mind a little whimpering of the clouds'. I'll try.
