Plan B

We had planned a walk from Aldebrough along the estuary today, but when we got there, apart from the unexpected rain and mist, the path we had intended to take was closed. The joy of knowing the area well, is that we were able to plan an alternative route along the old railway line to Thorpeness and back along the beach. A good alternative as it transpired, with lots of good sightings along the way, including Hobbies and Marsh Harriers over the reed beds. It seems to have been a fortnight of raptors and warblers. I'm finishing the trip with a Whitethroat as my blip. We've had a wonderful time but it's home tomorrow.
