Sample

Another day of fairly pleasant weather; so naturally I was obliged to do some work indoors :/

It's a strange thing to take samples from bones for radiocarbon dating; usually there is an imperative to preserve and reconstruct remains, but samples have to taken and stored separately from the skeletons. This is particularly true when the skeletons are going to be re-buried, as is more and more common. It does feel peculiar, though.
