Solace: Day 8

Away from it all!

Well, I do try to get away but after yesterday's announcement by The Mother about the shortage of a certain medication, our first stop had to be at Kidsgrove where we headed up Congleton Road in search for a chemist. The chemist directed me to a doctor's surgery where I was able to pick up a prescription to take back to the chemist. A lot of walking and waiting around but at least we had peace of mind regarding the 84 yr-old's well-being.

More waiting around was done at the entrance to the Harecastle Tunnel. Boaters have to wait anything up to 45 minutes for boats going the opposite way to come out. Fortunately we choose a style of holiday where we get away from clock watching, deadlines and parking attendants!

I tend to take a lot of photos of the places we moor in the evening, then, the following morning I go out and take them all again, just because then light's better.

There's been a distinct change in the weather, it could be summer soon!
